Leather Maitenance

Ginger Buenos Aires products are made with high quality materials. Leather is natural and may present variations or irregularities in its hue that make the material authentic, making each item a unique piece.

 

Protecting your Bags and Accessories

• It is advisable to protect with colorless silicones, such as furniture polish.
• Apply on a dry cloth and this on the product. Never apply directly on the material.
• Never wash in a washing machine or store the product in damp places.

 

What to do in case of liquid spills?

• Dry with a clean cloth. Do not rub. Then dry with a clean towel and let the article dry in the environment (not in the sun).
• Material should never be tumble dried as heat can damage the material.
• Oil or grease stains.
• Contact specialized dry cleaners. Remember that leather is skin and it is very susceptible to the absorption of these fluids.​

 

Recommendations

• The cleaning of the garments should be carried out in specialized dry cleaners.
• Avoid contact with inks, perfumes, makeup, alcohol, oils, sealants, waterproofing and solvents that can cause damage to the material.
• Never use: Glycerin soap, abrasive cleaners, varnish, detergent or other cleaning products, alcohol or ammonia water.​

 

Suede

• Leathers with suede finishes deserve special treatment
• A specific protector for chamois is recommended (although they may alter the color).
• Avoid contact with surfaces with dust, grease, humidity, etc.
• Please note that color may transfer to other light garments.
